A truck loaded with gravel has overturned along the shoulder of the south bound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway.

Shortly after 9am, the truck suffered a blown tyre, causing it to crash into the barriers in the vicinity of the Chase Village Flyover.

During the accident another of the truck’s tyres to became loose, hitting a car heading northbound.

Police are currently at the scene.

The truck may take some time to move and the situation is expected to cause traffic.
