St Augustine MP Khadijah Ameen is calling on Police Commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher to deploy resources to address an increase in home invasions and robberies in her constituency.

This follows reports of criminals roaming the streets in gangs late at night and early in the morning.

One such incident was reported at Bassie Street, Spring Village early this morning, while other incidents have been noted in Pasea and Valsayn South.

MP Ameen says she intends to continue a series of meetings with the police following those successfully held in the Bamboo and St. Augustine South.

She also identified praedial larceny as a growing threat in the constituency, with farmers continuing to lose their crops overnight.
