There will be no CPL matches at the Queen’s Park Oval this year.

Instead, all five of the Trinbago Knight Riders’ home fixtures will take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

This announcement comes in a CPL statement, which says the BLCA has firmly established itself as a landmark in CPL history.

It adds, “With a legacy of record-breaking attendance and electrifying atmospheres, the venue continues to be a centre piece of Caribbean cricket.”

QPO has hosted CPL matches every year since the start of the tournament in 2013.

After the opening of the BCLA, matches in Trinidad have been split between the Tarouba and Port of Spain locations.

TKR will face off against all five rival franchises between August 27th and September 3rd in Trinidad.
