South Africa have won the 2025 ICC World Test Championship final!

The one-off match was played between South Africa and Australia at Lord’s, the culmination of Test results spanning the 2023-2025 cycle.

Australia’s first innings score of 212 all out initially seemed poor, however South Africa’s turn at the crease failed capitalize, ending on 138 all out.

Australia’s second innings was even less impressive at 207 all out, setting the Proteas a victory target of 282 runs.

Aidan Markram scored 136 and Temba Bavuma added 66 as South Africa marched to 282/5 and WTC glory.

They are the third WTC Champions to be crowned after New Zealand in 2021 and Australia in 2023.
