Inspector Vekash Ramkissoon of the TTPS has completed a Policing Innovation and Leadership Programme in Dubai.

He was the only officer from T&T to participate in the professional diploma programme hosted by Dubai Police in collaboration with Rochester University.

Dubai Police describes the programme as an intensive programme combining advanced training and research, reflecting a global commitment to excellence in policing.

The participants consisted of an elite group of 53 professionals selected from 38 countries.

The initiative included academic, health and training programmes and several research projects.

103.1FM News spoke briefly with Inspector Ramkissoon, who described the five month programme as an “enlightening experience”.

He was also highly impressed with the mindset of the people in Dubai and the use of technology in the fight against crime.
