The leader of the Movement for Social Justice, David Abdulah, says Trinidad and Tobago should turn a recent U.S. policy shift into an opportunity for local education.
Responding to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to pause student visa interviews, he said this move opens the door for local and regional universities, like UWI and UTT, to become more attractive to local students.
Mr. Abdullah says T&T could take the lead in turning educational assets into revenue-generating institutions, especially by attracting international students.
