The Acting Police Commissioner says he expects a full report by the end of today into an incident where officers were caught on camera beating a man at the One Caribbean Music Festival.

The video, which surfaced on social media, shows members of the Guard and Emergency Branch appearing to strike a man repeatedly.

Commissioner Benjamin says the conduct appears to be excessive and outside of the police service’s use-of-force policy.

The concert was marred with controversy, as several artistes, including the headline act Vybz Kartel pulled out at the last minute, sending fans into shock.

There were rowdy scenes at the event, with persons throwing projectiles towards the stage, leading to two arrests, however it is not known if the man seen in the video was among them.
