Police say they are working with stakeholders to ensure the 17 individuals deported to T&T from the USA are safely and responsibly settled.
The TTPS says it has acknowledged the concerns expressed by members of the public on this matter.
DCP Suzette Martin said they are also supporting rehabilitative efforts to help these individuals in transitioning back into the community.
Of the 17 deportees who arrived at Piarco last Saturday, 15 were allowed to go free while two were held for outstanding warrants related to “crimes committed before they migrated.
