One man was killed during a police-involved shooting in Chaguanas this morning.

A report by Guardian Media says officers went to a residence on Soogrim Trace around 4:30am, where they attempted to apprehend a suspect.

The man allegedly shot at the officers, who returned fire.

The wounded man was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility where he succumbed to his injuries a short while later.
