21 T&T to be repatriated from U.S.

21 T&T nationals will soon be repatriated from the United States.

The Ministry of National Security says the 17 males and four females are current in the custody of U.S. immigration authorities.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) has requested the Government’s assistance in facilitating the arrival of a charter flight to Port of Spain.

This is tentatively scheduled for Friday, May 23, 2025.

The Ministry says the flight is being coordinated to efficiently manage the repatriation process, as the number of nationals currently pending removal has made a chartered mission more effective than multiple commercial flights.

It adds that Government is reviewing the manifest and itinerary provided and is currently in communication with ICE to ensure all protocols, documentation and logistical requirements are met in accordance with local and international immigration standards.
