A power outage has led to an unplanned water interruption in parts of Central Trinidad.

The outage has impacted operations at the Carlsen Field Water Treatment Plant.

This has in turn led to reduced pressures to Carlsen Field Farm proper, Cashew Gardens, Thompson Road, Sou Sou Lands and Ravine Sable.

WASA says the resulting disruption is expected to last until about 5pm today.

Meanwhile, mechanical repairs at the Hillsborough West Water Treatment Plant have led to a water disruption in parts of Tobago.

In this case, the disruption is expected to continue until 4pm today.

Areas affected in this case are Hope, John Dial, Bacolet, Blenheim and Scarborough.
