The Walt Disney Company has named Abu Dhabi for its newest theme park and resort, making Disneyland Abu Dhabi the seventh global resort destination.
It will be fully developed and operated by Miral, a local company, while Disney’s Imagineers will lead creative design and operational oversight.
A release on Disney’s website noted the UAE’s proximity to one-third of the world’s population, which makes it a significant gateway for tourism.
A potential opening is set for 2030.
