A 24-year-old welder was granted $300,000 bail when he appeared in court charged with sexual offences against a minor.

The victim was at his home in Penal on May 3rd when he was first offered a drink by the accused and then assaulted.

The man appeared before Master Adia Mohammed yesterday charged with sexual penetration, sexual touching, and exposing child to pornography.

The accused was ordered to report to the Princes Town Police Station once a week, to stay 1,000 feet away from the victim, and to remain out of the Siparia District.

He is also forbidden from communicating with the victim, directly or indirectly.

He is expected to reappear in court on May 13th, 2025.
