UNC Campaign Manager for the San Fernando East constituency will be taking the necessary action to address what she says are indiscretions in the ballot counting process.

Wendy Lewis told 103.1FM News that many irregularities were reported, including issues with the envelope containing the key for the ballot boxes.

She also said their request to count the studs was denied, and that they were told to address the issue with the EBC.

The recount for the San Fernando East seat is still in progress.

EBC’s preliminary results show UNC received 6357 votes, while PNM’s candidate Brian Manning won the seat with 7026 votes.
