Preliminary results for the 2025 General Election show 26 seats for the UNC, 13 for the PNM and two for the TPP.

At the same time, recounts are currently underway in Arouca/Lopinot, Malabar/Mausica and San Fernando East.

According to a statement from the Elections and Boundaries Commission, all three recounts began at 3pm today.

It adds that the preliminary results are provisional and remain subject to final validation, pending the conclusion of the requested recounts.

Meanwhile, according to the EBC, voter turnout was approximately 54%, with a total registered electorate of 1,153,850 across 41 electoral districts in Trinidad and Tobago.
