Public Utilities Minister Colm Imbert is promising an increase to the current $100 daily stipend for apprentices in the Plumbing Skills Training Programme.
He made the comment at an Engagement Session today, adding that that this may encourage students to stay in programme.
The Minister commended the batch of 89 students, adding that their new skills will make them a part of a highly trained and sought after professional service.
The training programme, which provides practical experience and specialized technical skills in plumbing, is done in collaboration with the Public Utilities and Youth Development ministries and WASA.
