The Patriotic Front claims “targeted harassment” led four of its prospective candidates to withdraw from the race for the 2025 General Elections.

In a statement, the party says it was ready to field a full slate of 41 candidates for Nomination Day today.

However, it says “As a direct result of this targeted harassment, four of our prospective candidates made the difficult decision not to submit their nominations today. Their decision was rooted in concern for the safety of their families and the integrity of their professional reputations.”

The party claims the harassment and intimidation began after it first announced candidates in February 2025 and continued as more names were unveiled.

It also alleges that this was being done by “high-ranking members of the Government and the Opposition.”

It insists however that it will not be deterred.

The Patriotic Front’s 37 candidates are:
