A 55-year old foreign used car dealer from Cunupia has been charged with fraudulent conversion of funds.

In January 2020 the businessman allegedly received $112,000 for a specially outfitted vehicle for a disabled person, but failed to deliver as promised.

The victim filed a report after several failed attempts to secure a refund.

Following an investigation, the suspect was charged and is scheduled to appear before a Port of Spain Magistrate on May 9th.
