Couva South MP urges Public Utilities Minister Imbert to address water shortage

Couva South MP Rudy Indarsingh has called on Public Utilities Minister Colm Imbert to address the water supply shortage in his constituency.

Mr Indarsingh said his office was inundated with residents complaining about the irregularity of their water supply, sometimes once every 10 to 15 days.

The MP also claimed that some residents even experience difficulty in accessing a regular truck borne water supply.

He went on to criticize the Government’s ongoing restructuring of WASA, including the recruitment of new CEO Keithroy Halliday and his $100,000 base salary.
