TTPS lead breakthrough in dismantling Claxton Bay drug network, seize drugs, guns, ammo and cash

A highly organised drug network was  discovered by the TTPS during a drug trafficking dismantling operation in Claxton Bay earlier this week.

The operation revealed that the suspect, a known drug trafficker from the Claxton Bay district, constructed a man-made inlet connecting his property to the Gulf of Paria

The exercise which took place within the dense mangrove forest was supported by Defence Force and Coast Guard personnel, led to seizure of a significant quantity of Colombian cannabis, firearms, 400 rounds of ammunition and $60,000.

Acting Police Commissioner Junior Benjamin said the TTPS and its partners are determined to dismantle the highly organized narcotics network and commended all the agencies involved in the ongoing operation.
