T&T’s General Election will be held on April 28th, 2025.

Nomination Day will be Friday April 4th, 2025.

This announcement came this afternoon from Prime Minister Stuart Young, who says he advised President Christine Kangaloo to dissolve Parliament with effect from midnight tonight, in accordance with Section 68 of the Constitution.

He also advised the President that, in accordance with Section 33 of the Representation of the People Act, Chap. 2:01, Writs of Election for the 2025 General Elections are to be issued today to fix the dates for both Nomination Day and Polling Day.
