A quantity of cannabis was found hidden at a recreation ground in Laventille.

Yesterday, officers conducted a drive-through exercise in areas such as Beetham, Sea Lots, Pump Trace, Eastern Quarry, Prizgar Lands, St. Paul Street, Pashley Street, 6th & 7th Avenue in Malick, Vegas, and Pelican Extension.

At the Morris Marshall Recreational Grounds on Trou Macaque Road, they searched the pavilion where a black plastic bag was found.

In it were several clear plastic packets containing 95 grams of cannabis.
