The Coat of Arms featuring the steelpan will be integrated into the 2025 series of the $100 banknote.
That series is scheduled for public distribution by September 2025.
News of this came in a social media notice today from the Central Bank of T&T.
On January 13th 2025, Parliament approved the National Emblems of Trinidad and Tobago (Regulation) (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which saw a change to the Coat of Arms: Columbus’ three ships were removed and replaced with a steelpan.
The Central Bank says the 2025 series $100 banknote will be very similar to the current 2019 series $100 note, with a few new security features.
