A gas explosion at a Taiwanese shopping mall has killed at least 5 people and injured more than 20.

CNN reported the incident happened on the building’s 12th floor. Rescue operations continue with more than 100 officers on the scene.

In response to the incident, the Taiwanese President urged the public to avoid the scene and called for authorities to begin immediate investigations.
