Guyana’s Home Affairs Ministry has reminded foreign nationals of mandatory immigrations procedures in accordance with Guyana’s laws.
The Ministry’s statement said that foreign nationals without a valid entry stamp with the entry date can be subject to deportation.
Furthermore, travellers leaving Guyana without presenting themselves to an officer at an official exit port can be refused re-entry if trying to return.
The authority’s statement identified the following designated Ports of Entry and Exit for proper immigration processing:
Region 1- Morawhanna
Region 2- Charity
Region 3-Parika
Region 4-Georgetown
-Eugene F. Correia International Airport
-Cheddi Jagan International Airport
Region 6- Moleson Creek
-New Amsterdam
-Springlands
Region 7-Bartica
Eteringbang
Region 9-Lethem
Persons are reminded that avoiding the immigration requirements can lead to legal consequences.
