Machel Montano will perform first at the 2025 Chutney Soca Monarch semi-finals scheduled for this Saturday.

Confirmation of this comes via a statement from the event’s organizer, Southex Promotions.

Also on the roster to compete at this stage are: 9-time CSM Champ Rikki Jai, former monarchs Neval Chatelal and Daddy Chinee, as well as 103.1FM’s Veekash Sahadeo, and industry veteran Hemlata Dindial.

2024 Queen of Chutney, Rawytee Ramroop, must also compete at this stage in a bid to advance and defend her title.

34 artistes are expected to cross the stage at La Tropical on the Rig Compound, with the show carded to begin at 9:30pm.

Of these, eight will advance to the 2025 CSM Final scheduled for March 1st at Skinner Park in San Fernando.

The semi-finals will also see a special guest performance by defending champion Rick Ramoutar.
