Packed schedule for WI Men’s, Women’s teams

The West Indies Men’s and Women’s teams have a packed schedule, both home and away, for the period May to December 2025.

The Men’s team will first embark on a tour of the UK.

This will feature three One-Day Internationals against Ireland from May 21st to 25th in Dublin, to be followed by three ODIs against England from May 29th to June 3rd.

They will then play several T20 Internationals: three against England from June 6th to 10th, and three against Ireland from June 12th to 15th

The Men in Maroon will then shift focus to Test cricket, with the start of the ICC World Test Championship cycle under new head coach Daren Sammy.

They will battle for the prestigious Frank Worrell Trophy against Australia in a three-match Test series: the first Test will be played in Barbados from June 25th to 29th, the second will take place in Grenada from July 3rd to 7th, and the third and final Test will be played in Jamaica from July 12th to 16th.

This will be followed by a five-match T20I series against Australia, with the first two games at Sabina Park on July 20th and 22nd and the remaining three at Warner Park, St. Kitts on July 25th, 26th, and 28th.

To close out the home summer, the Windies will play Pakistan in three T20Is in Lauderhill, Florida, followed by three ODIs at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad from July 31st to August 12th.

The Men’s team will then embark on an overseas tour to India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, spanning September 21st to December 23rd.

India will feature two test matches, while Bangladesh will facilitate three ODIS and three T20Is.

New Zealand however will host the Windies for a full tour consisting of five T20Is, three ODIs and three test matches.

Meanwhile the Women’s team will begin their 2025 campaign with the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Pakistan from April 4th to 19th.

Six teams will compete for two spots in the marquee event in India, scheduled for August-September.

Following the qualifiers, the Women will tour England for a full white-ball series: three T20Is and three ODIs from May 21st to June 8th.

Then, later in the year, they will host South Africa for a historic white-ball series at the 3Ws Oval in Barbados.

This will be the first time this venue will stage such an international series.
