EBC member appointed

Karla Drayton-Edwards has been appointed as a member of the Elections and Boundaries Commission.

Ms Drayton-Edwards took her oath of office during a ceremony held at the Office of the President yesterday.

In a post shared on the President’s official Facebook page, Ms Drayton Edwards was described as “a results-driven executive with a strong background in Information Technology, network support and managed services.”

It also states, “After gaining a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Sciences from Morgan State University in Baltimore, she began her professional working life at the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States before moving to Verizon Communications in Arlington, Virginia. Returning to Trinidad and Tobago in 2002, she first worked at CLICO Investment Bank as a Systems Administrator and then at CommNet Caribbean Limited as the Senior Business Development Manager. In 2008, Ms Edwards moved to Metropolitan Networks Caribbean Limited where she is at present the Chief Executive officer.”
