An issue with fuel was behind an emergency landing of a Caribbean Airlines flight from Tobago to Trinidad.

This is according to Finance Minister Colm Imbert who says he received information from the airline following last night’s incident on Flight BW 1541.

Speaking in Parliament, he explains that initial information suggests there was no fault with the aircraft itself.

Mr Imbert says Caribbean Airlines will now follow established procedures to ensure accountability.

Mr Imbert adds that the captain landed the aircraft safely and there were no reports of injuries to passengers.
