Local government officials and the fire service have met to start preparations for the dry season.

According to the Local Government Ministry, the meeting involved Senior Disaster Management Coordinator Jerry David, other Disaster Management Coordinating Unit officials, Acting Assistant Chief Fire Officer for the Northern Division Noel Stuart and Acting Assistant Divisional Fire Officer Cranston Khan.

It adds that the discussion centred on available services and strategies to ensure a safer dry season.
