WASA says it will heighten water supply management activity as the 2025 Dry Season has been declared.
Yesterday, the Met Service said there should be initial wetter and warmer than usual conditions in January, February and March but, April through May, there is an increased probability for Saharan dust-haze events and increased potential for bush, forest and landfill fires.
WASA says, while reservoirs were recharged by recent rainfall, citizens should adopt sustainable water management practices as the country transitions to a drier period.
It notes that it will be carrying out initiatives in keeping with its Dry Season Water Management Plan.
This includes continued public awareness, monitoring and management of water resources, infrastructure maintenance and upgrades and the briefing teams to reply swiftly to disruptions.
