Machel Montano has become the first soca artist to feature on ‘Tiny Desk Concerts’.

Hosted by NPR Music, ‘Tiny Desk Concerts’ is a video series that takes place at the desk of former ‘All Songs Considered’ host Bob Boilen in Washington, D.C.

Accompanied by a talented team of musicians, Machel performed several hits: “One More Time”, “Dance With You”, “Fast Wine”, “Like Ah Boss”, “Famalay” and “Soca Kingdom”.

Sharing the experience on his official Instagram account, Machel said. “…I am filled with gratitude, and an overwhelming sense of pride, to represent our culture on this global platform”.

He added, “This isn’t just my moment, it’s OUR Moment. A moment for every Soca lover, every Caribbean soul, and every person who carries the rhythm of the islands in their heart.”
