Police officers who are currently on leave are being urged to report for duty.
The call was issued today by ACP Richard Smith, as he spoke during a briefing to update the nation on TTPS’ work during the ongoing State of Emergency.
He said while a number of officers have heeded the call, others are yet to report.
According to ACP Smith, officers would have been on leave for different reasons – including medical – and so, official correspondence would be sent accordingly.
He also reminded that there is a disciplinary process to be followed should officers fail to come out.
Also at the briefing was DCP Junior Benjamin, who unveiled some statistics regarding police operations so far under the SoE.
22 firearms have also been recovered, including several AR-15 rifles.
