Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley has extended condolences following the passing of Mrs Saleema Mohammed, wife of the late Kamaluddin Mohammed.

She passed away on Monday, with final rites performed today.

Mr Mohammed was a long-serving former Minister and Deputy Political Leader of the PNM.

In his statement, Dr Rowley said, “While we always acknowledge the long and meritorious service of Kamal Mohammed, we must never forget the strength of the support that he could always rely upon, at his side, his wife of many years.”

He went on to say, “She was a strong and gentle woman who inspired many of us. Today we join the entire family in celebrating her life. On behalf of my own family, the PNM and the nation, I extend deepest condolences to the family Mohammed.”
