Three inmates of the Port of Spain Prison are expected to appear before a Master of the High Court for possession of prohibited articles.

The charges stem from an intelligence-led exercise conducted at the Prison between 5:30pm on November 26th and 3am on November 27th 2024.

During this time, officers searched a cell where they found a quantity of items including cannabis, cigarettes, blades, cell-phones, USB cables and lighters.

In another cell, they recovered cell-phones, headsets, lighters, knives and chargers.
