Caribbean Airlines and the T&T Airline Pilots Association have signed an agreement on wage negotiations for the period 2015-2020.
The airline, in a media release, says this is an important step in collaboration between the two entities.
It assured that Caribbean Airlines’ operations continue as normal.
Outstanding wage talks led the airline to take the matter to the Labour Ministry in November 2023, while a few months earlier, the Industrial Court issued an injunction preventing pilots from taking industrial action.
This had followed an incident where dozens of pilots called in sick, forcing the cancellation of domestic and international flights from the Piarco International Airport.
When the incident occurred, the association issued a statement saying it was “unaware of any strike action being taken by the pilot body.”
