A 24-year-old man has appeared before a Master of the High Court charged with the murder of 44-year-old Omarie Mc Carthy.

Mc Carthy shot near Building 8 in Maloney Gardens on October 23rd 2024, and succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Following an investigation, Elijah Emmanuel Nock of Port of Spain and Maloney, was held and charged with murder.

He was also charged with Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition, when he appeared before Master Margaret Sookraj-Gosine in High Court North ‘B’ on Monday December 9th 2024.

The Sufficiency Hearing date has been set for October 17th 2025.
