The Anti-Extortion Unit has brought two men before the courts.
41-year-old David Glasgow and 22-year-old Kyle Cruikshank were charged with five counts of Demanding Money with Menaces totalling TT$40,000 and Possession of Camouflage Clothing.
When they appeared before Master Shabiki Cazabon in the South B High Court yesterday, both were denied bail on all charges and remanded into custody.
Three victims told police that between November 19th and 26th 2024, two men showed up at their job site in Gran Couva and demanded to see their boss.
They allegedly informed the victims that they were in charge of security in the area, demanded TT$40,000 and threatened to burn machinery at the site if they were not paid.
