Fitzgerald Hinds will not contest his Laventille West seat in next year’s General Election.

This was confirmed by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley during today’s post-cabinet news conference.

Dr Rowley said while he had no hand in the decision, he was not entirely surprised.

He added that Mr Hinds will continue to be around “in the party, if not in the Government”.
