An investigation is underway following a fire at the Malick Secondary School.

The blaze began around 11:54am and affected one of the prefabricated buildings, along with Blocks F and C.

According to an update from the Education Ministry, there was significant damage to the conference room, book room and Dean’s office.

It adds that the school was immediately evacuated, with students and staff safely accounted for.
