UTT, Digital Transformation Ministry sign MoU

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and UTT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create learning opportunities to help advance the local cyber-security landscape.

According to the Ministry, the MOU outlines several key initiatives for collaboration, including:

  • Cyber-security Courses: opportunities will be made available, at no cost, to registered members of the MDT’s D’Hub programme, to enhance their skills in this high-demand field.
  • Real-World Projects and Internships: students of the UTT will have access to more practical, industry-relevant experience through partnerships with MDT, ensuring they are well-prepared for future careers in cyber-security.
  • Research Innovation: MDT and UTT will collaborate on cyber-security research, driving innovation and developing solutions that address real-world challenges.

At the MoU signing on October 24th, Chairman of UTT’s Board of Governors, Professor Clément Imbert, underscored the role of this partnership in bolstering T&T’s cyber-security capabilities.

It is also seen as a key step in strengthening local cyber-security capacity, building a skilled local workforce, and contributing to the goal of creating a secure digital future.
