Concerns continue to be expressed following an incident along the Southern Main Road near Savonetta on Friday night.

One social media user initially claimed there was a liquid nitrogen leak, however Massy Gas Products Ltd issued a statement on Saturday addressing the situation.

It said around 9pm on Friday 15th November 2024, excess nitrogen was vented during a routine mobile tanker filling operation.

It also assured that there was no harm to people, property or the environment.

Since the incident, there have been reports that probes would be carried out by the Energy Ministry and the EMA.
