Kamala Harris has called Donald Trump to concede.

This follows Mr Trump’s historic victory in yesterday’s presidential election.

BBC News says Ms Harris will also address the nation for the first time since her defeat when she speaks to supporters at Howard University later today.

While Mr Trump has been declared the winner of the presidential election, two swing states still haven’t been called: Nevada and Arizona.

Of the seven crucial swing states, Mr Trump has won North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan and is ahead in Nevada and Arizona.

Republicans have also taken the Senate back from the Democrats after flipping a string of seats.
