The UNC is calling on state-owned media TTT to broadcast the Opposition Leader’s address at the Divali Nagar at the earliest opportunity.

This comes after there were reported technical difficulties on Saturday night which saw the broadcast of the Nagar break prior to Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s speech and resume afterwards.

UNC Chairman Dave Tancoo has written to TTT calling for a public apology and for the public to be advised of what occurred and whether anyone is being held liable.

He also believes the speech should be aired before Divali and on Divali day, with proper advertising beforehand.
