The PNM is today paying tribute to a man it says was a strong advocate for the development of Laventille West.
Former MP Nileung Hypolite passed away on October 19th after battling a rare form of cancer.
He served as MP for Laventille West from November 2007 to June 2015 and sat as a temporary government senator between 2002 and 2007.
The PNM says he worked tirelessly to improve the standard of living for those in the constituency, particularly in the areas of education, youth development and community empowerment.
It adds that his service in Parliament and commitment to community make him a role model for future generations of public servants.
