$2 million bail for marijuana trafficking charge

A 24-year-old labourer was granted $2 million bail when he appeared in a Tobago Masters’ Court charged with Possession of Marijuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Kareem Peters, of Golden Lane, will reappear before the court on July 10th 2025.

The charge stems from the discovery of a large quantity of marijuana in Pigeon Point on October 7th.

29.7 kgs of the drug – worth $1.6 million – was found in a car parked in a poorly lit area along the beachfront on Pigeon Point Road.
