Recent cases of domestic violence are closely linked to a drop in public trust in the TTPS, according to NTA Deputy Chairman Christine Newallo-Hosein.

In a statement issued this morning, she said critical systems have been shut down including the TTPS App, online reporting and the 482-GARY hotline.

Mrs Newallo-Hosein believes these systems must be restored in order for victims to get the protection they deserve.

She also called for a revitalization of the TTPS Gender-Based Violence Unit.
