Kenya will send 600 more police officers to Haiti next month to bolster an international anti-gang mission.
The announcement came from President William Ruto during a visit by the Haitian prime minister on Friday.
At least 10 countries have promised to send a total of about 2,900 troops but only about 430 have deployed since the UN-authorised mission began in June.
Nearly 400 of them are from Kenya.
Haiti has been troubled by gang violence which has forced the country into a humanitarian crisis with over 700,000 people displaced from their homes.
