Government is being urged to invest in mental health services, particularly in rural areas.

This comes from Chaguanas West MP Dinesh Rambally who, on World Mental Health Day, says in rural areas, access to care is limited.

He warns that some in society suffer in silence due to stigma, lack of resources, and insufficient support.

MP Rambally says the health system must be strengthened so that everyone, regardless of background or location, has access to the care they need.
