The Santa Rosa First Peoples Community is celebrating its 24th annual Heritage Week.

This is due to run from October 12th to 18th 2024.

This year’s theme is “Advancing the Cultural Continuity of the Indigenous First Peoples”.

The week-long event will showcase cultural and educational activities designed to deepen the understanding of the Indigenous First Peoples’ contributions to T&T and the broader region.

These activities will include traditional ceremonies, lectures, and film screenings aimed at audiences of all ages.

This year, First Peoples’ delegates from neighbouring countries, including Guyana, Suriname, Belize, Venezuela, Dominica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, are also being invited to join the festivities.
